ROJ TV satisfies the needs of Kurdish people
In an interview published 04.04.2006 in The New Anatolian site, Mr Ahmad Turk co-chairperson of DTP ( Democratic Society Party) reiterates the importance of ROJ TV for Kurdish people, asked about his views about the channel , Mr Turk says : Even if some circles may not approve of ROJ-TV , it satisfies the needs of Kurdish people, he said they are against the banning of ROJ TV , alleged to be pro – Kurdistan Workers' Party by the Turkish state ,adding that, the state's rules for broadcasts in kurdish have been interpreted as an in insult to the kurds since they only permit 15- minutes broadcasts with no up-to-date news coverage. Ahmad Turk reiterated his views on the need to change article 3 of Turkey's constitution ,which is among the unalterable articles of the constitution.
