Anders Fogh accused of being party to Kurdish unrest in Turkey

Major Turkish daily on its front page accuses Anders Fogh Rasmussen of being party to unrest in Turkish Kurdistan due to Denmark's hosting Roj-TV.

A Turkish daily implicates Anders Fogh Rasmussenwith with violent unrest in Turkish Kurdistan. From Denmark Roj-TV had transmitted a call for protests. Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen (of the Liberal Party called 'Venstre') is held co responsible for unrest in Kurdish dominated South Eastern Turkey, in which 40 persons have been wounded.

The big Turkish daily Hürriyet criticize the Danish Prime Minister because the Danish authorities continually facilitate transmissions from Roj-TV via satellite from Copenhagen.

Call for unrest on Roj-TV

It was an exhortation transmitted by Roj-TV that was the indirect cause of the ravaging of shops and banks by sympathizers of the proscribed Kurdish party PKK following the funeral of four killed members of the PKK in Diyarbakir, the major city of South Eastern Turkey.

"If this had happened in your country, what would you do ?" Hürriyet writes in a letter to Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Danish passivity

The Turkish daily draws attention to the fact that the Turkish government has called on the Danish government to close Roj-TV

"This is the result", is the comment of Hürriyet about the passivity of the Danish authorities.
